Individual & Couples Psychotherapy
Psychotherapy covers a wide range of psychological treatments and techniques. I view psychotherapy as a collaborative effort between the therapist and the individual, couple, or group in treatment to meet mutually agreed upon goals. My primary orientation is grounded in psychodynamic theory. However, my approach to treatment may combine a variety of psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and mindfulness perspectives as indicated. Â Sessions are 45 minutes long and typically held once or twice per week.
Group Psychotherapy
Engaging in psychotherapeutic growth with other people in similar circumstances can be a rewarding and beneficial alternative, or supplement to, individual or couples psychotherapy. Many people find support and encouragement in working through difficult circumstances with others who can relate to their experience. Thoughts, feelings, and situations that may feel isolating are sometimes easier to work through when doing so with other people in a safe, respectful group setting.
